In the bumpy rides when you wish to return to the states, keep in mind back to January, February, March, all those months where God was pushing in your heart to do something extreme for Him.

My buddies truly speak fact.

Truth check: I have actually been a little bit of a Johnny Raincloud recently.

On the blog site, a little. (This pertained to my attention after I check out a few of my latest posts and recognized they were all stories about my stinky-fish-market-dirty-jeepney-oppressively-hot life in the Philippines. O, issue is me.)

In reality, much more. I have actually been feeling ill + I wish for the conveniences of house + I miss my friends and family. Issue is me once again.

This entire Philippines thing is a huge change, and a few of these yucky sensations are typical. Yes. Definitely.

However I have a lot of factors to be grateful. I have adequate cash to take a taxi whenever I do not seem like strolling. A refrigerator loaded with fresh, healthy food. A continuous tidy supply of water. A humiliating variety of shoes to pick from each early morning. I question what the male on our corner who sleeps on a piece of wood would state if he lived my life for a day. And I imply my “Filipino” life.

I think I might begin with being grateful that I even had the option to come here in the very first location.

So you came here for cookies, and now you seem like you have actually been punk ‘d.

This is not punk ‘d. This is a post about cookies.

Know this → I am so grateful for chocolate chip cookies.

And think what else? I’m grateful for boxed milk. NOT JOKING. It’s milk that really tastes like milk. Can you think such a thing exists? If chocolate chip cookies are a band-aid for the soul and chocolate chip cookie dough is a double band-aid for the soul, I will take both the single and the double, please and thank you. Two times. And with a glass of milk.

These cookies are traditional in a manner that just peanut butter, oats, and 2 kinds of chocolate chips can be traditional. And if you’re a nut individual, you much better include some nuts. I will evaluate you for sacrilegious cookie habits, however whatev.

I believe we can a minimum of all settle on the {2 kinds of melty} chocolate part, right? Right.
